A. Prebased Foam Foam shapes are coated with industry standard basecoat that meets ASTM standards. (National brands of basecoat are also available).
B. Foam
Unless specified, the foam used to manufacture all shapes is:
1 lb. density, properly cured, Expanded Polystyrene
Virgin with no regrind present
- Approved for use in EIFS wall systems
- Most linear shapes are produced in 8 foot lengths
- 2 lb. density foam is available upon request.
C. End Treatment (Prebase)
On prebased shapes that must be joined, two end treatments are available.
Please indicate your preference at the time of your order.
1) Recessed Seam
In this treatment, the basecoat is recessed approximately 1.75 inches on each end. This allows a piece of joint mesh with basecoat to be used to provide a less visible seam.
2) Flush Seam
In this treatment, the piece is consistent its entire length. The ends are not recessed.
